Karahi curry (Noun.), indicates a thick soupy dish prepared in a steep-sided wok like pot. Such a pot is called karahi, kadai, korai or kadhi. Some Indian restaurants may use serving platters in a pan like a karahi. Such a pan is used for deep frying or to make shallow fry recipes.
