The Indian Paneer is a freshly made unsalted cheese – mostly cream-coloured or white. In India, it is made from cow’s milk or buffalos’ milk and sometimes a blend of both. Some may use it as cottage Cheese but Cheese is an emulsifier and Paneer does not have emulsifiers.
Cheese is made from crude milk fats and paneer is made at home from milk by curdling milk with acidic food like lemon or vinegar (sometimes curd/buttermilk). It is rich in calcium and is a rich source of conjugated linoleic acid.
